The Count is Coming to Dinner

Just in time for Hallowe'en, Count Strahd von Zarovich returns, with Curse of Strahd: Revamped! (Emphasis mine.)

This week Dunegons & Dragons a revised and updated edition of its popular adventure for characters levels 1-10, but adventurers be warned: this is no ordinary ghost story.

First published in 2016, and based on the original Ravenloft module from 1983, Curse of Strahd centres around the mysterious Strahd von Zarovich and Barovia, his kingdom, home to his Castle Ravenloft. Curse of Strahd an enduring adventure particularly around this time of year.

Multiple liveplay groups have recently undertaken (or completed) Curse of Strahd campaigns including RealmSmith, and MiniTerrainDomain, just to name a few. With the launch Curse of Strahd: Revamped, it's quite likely even more groups will pick up the story.

Curse of Strahd: Revamped offers a deluxe play experience for new and veteran players alike.

It is a classic 5e adventure (as classic as modern adventures can get) and brought MANY players into the hobby as their first experience with D&D.

If Curse of Strahd: Revamped is successful, we are quite likely to see more of these types of remastered editions (much like the Tyranny of Dragons the collected edition of Hoard of the Dragon Queen and The Rise of Tiamat which may have served as an experiment for this type of remastered content.)

It certainly would not be out of the realm of possibility to see other remastered editions of classic adventures like Storm King's Thunder?

Only time will tell...but in the meanwhile...you still haven't accepted the Count's invitation to dinner. Won't you join him?

What you get

The adventure (224 pages, for characters levels 1-10)

Creatures of Horror (a booklet of new monsters that appear in the adventure)
